Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
Scenedle is a free daily video-guessing game. We built it to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what is and isn't gathered when you play.
Data stored on your device
Your game progress, statistics, settings (such as light/dark theme), and an anonymous experiment bucket are saved in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device — it is not an account and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data for Scenedle removes it.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate usage — for example, how many puzzles are played or solved. These measurements are anonymous and are not used to identify you or build a profile about you.
Embedded YouTube videos
Puzzles play video clips embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced ("no-cookie") mode, so YouTube does not set tracking cookies before you press play. When a video plays, YouTube and Google may collect data in accordance with their own policies. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
Scenedle may display advertising. If and when ads are shown, ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Any such partner's privacy practices are governed by that partner's own policy.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain Amazon affiliate links. Scenedle is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program and may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy notice applies.
Accounts & subscriptions (optional)
If you choose to create an account, we store the email address or phone number you sign in with and use it to save and sync your game progress across devices. Sign-in and data sync are handled using Google Firebase. If you subscribe to Scenedle+, payments are processed by a third-party payment provider — we do not receive or store your full payment card details. You can use Scenedle without an account or subscription.
Children
Scenedle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Clear your browser's site data to remove everything stored locally by Scenedle.
- Use your browser's cookie and tracking controls to manage third-party content such as embedded videos or ads.
- If you have an account, contact us to request deletion of the data associated with it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
